Hi guys

So a week or so ago, completely out of the blue my air-con decided that it will now only blow air out from the foot-well and rear passenger vents. I can basically feel my wallet getting significantly lighter at the thought of taking it to the mechanics to get fixed so i'm looking into doing this myself.

I have a few potential ideas as to what the problem could be but i thought i'd ask a few questions before pulling my dash/center console apart or go playing in the fuse box.

a) has this happened to any of you guys before? did you fix it your self or take it in?
b) what parts will i need to source before beginning the fix?
c) estimated time of fix (can this be done over a solid day/weekend of work) ?

I've seen several posts and videos referring to this sort of thing happening on older model commodores but have been unable to find anything relating to the ve. (any links would also be appreciated)

thanks

Most likely a HVAC actuator, do you hear clicking under the dash when you turn IGN on?

Try a reset, IGN on, hold the demist button for ten secs or till you hear the hvac flaps start moving.

Hi I just got my ve series 2 and now the aircon has just stoped working you can hold in the fan speed button and the fan goes up and then soon as you let it go it returns back down to off none of the climate control work or any of the window demisters ?

rock the fan speed up and down buttons multiple times to stop them sticking. If this doesn't work there's an IQ software update that's supposed to rectify this.
