Hi all,

I have just spent the most frustrating time trying to get hold of a 2016 Map update SD card. Called on all and sundry that deals with Holdens here in Adelaide with no result. I have just got off the phone with Holden HQ in Vic after being given the biggest run around and was told that the series 2 IQ units are no longer supported and they are unwilling to say who the manufacturers of the IQ unit were so that I can approach them direct. Can anyone help getting a map update SD card?
Holden are definitely not doing themselves any favours or bolstering faith in the brand!
Cheers
Did you ever get an update for your commodore as im still after an update for mine

It’s no secret who supplied the maps to Holden. This still doesn’t get anyone past 2016 maps though.

It’s done. It’s dead in the water.

Update the headunit to Alpine or another Android Auto/Apple car play compatible headunit and get live maps/traffic nav via Google Maps.

The 2016 update files are available, just need to be downloaded and written to an SD card.

Even our old Santa Fe had outdated satnav maps that weren’t being updated. We couldn’t update them our selves and Hyundai kept saying it was the latest one.

I feel there needs to be more responsibility on the part of the map provider to maintain access to these driver assistance features. If that can’t be done, they are a pointless feature.

The Santa Fe would show outdated speed zones. Outdated camera locations. Outdated roads and that was a 2022.

I can’t just fall to the manufacturer. It needs to be accessible by the owner (not that we own cars anymore, just the rights to use them is what we buy). Manufactures aren’t updating maps and map data, end user can’t access map supplier data to keep them working. Time to get rid of the feature from cars then.
