Personally, i do 5000 intervals. But i struggle to do 10000 a year so i'm lucky to service it twice a year. Have been thinking of going out to 7500 but i wouldn't go further than that.

every 5,000kms here. Gets pricy when there are 2 VE's in the driveway. but worth it in the long run. Use genuine oil filter,K&N air filters as both have OTR's and 10W50 in standard car and 10W60 in other one.

I just got my '06 VE ss but.....planning to service oil and filter at 10 000 kms (but like the idea of 5000km serv for oil)
I will use AC Delco parts, as close to genuine parts as possible but cheaper, in fact i think they are the same parts different box.
OIL 10W30 AC DELCO No. 92147062
OIL FILT AC DELCO AC 092 Z663
AIR FILT AC DELCO ACA154 A1557
SUMP PLUG incl WASHER No. 11562588
SPARK PLUGS NGK IRIDIUM GO 1ZTR5B11 x 8-------total trade price to me was $240.
I also found out manual gearboxoil is Dextron VI (sticker on the gearbox)
And diff oil is a carbon modified type, (sticker on diff) but I dont know what this means so need to go to Holden dealeship to get more info.
Man gearbox oil Dextron lll.......... Hope this helps.

ALSO to reset service reminder.......
key in ign (but off)
hold down trip key (button)
turn ign on -red lights only
comes up- service reset
let go of the trip key (button)
hold down (press) the arrow key 3-5 secs
small beep heard---all done
key off
Then can turn key on to red lights to see if reminder is off.
NOTE. avg kms and avg speed will also be reset automatically. This works , I did it my self.

Resetting the oil on the computer; Turn the key once, press the accelerator three times and it'll change it.

On standard models not HSV you can put it into engineer mode and the oil life will go back to 100%

What do people think of the genuine 10w/30 engine oil holden sell ? As I'm thinking of using that for my next service ?

Or perhaps I'll try royal purple as I'm hearing good things about it :)

>>>>>>>That the same as AC Delco from Covs or do you mean genuine GM oil ?
Either case I would use it , if any doubts, change it more often.
AND Royal Purple?? Never heard of it here (WA)
