If the sub amp is the same as in the sedan, you can turn the subs up from the amp.

See 2.29 in this vid.....

Sweet. I believe the ute subs amp is the same as the sedan amp. I'll have a go at cranking it up.

OK, I'll take some pics. The subs amp is in the wall panel behind the seats. I hope it's not too big of a job to remove.
