VF Low Voltage

My 2013 Evoke started acting weird all of a sudden. A/C turning off and on same as radio then came up with battery low voltage, replaced battery. Started and seemed to be fine, Went back to work with new battery parked like normal 4 hours later on way home from work same thing happened with new battery. Volts sits around 11.1, drops when turn everything on then goes back to 11.1, no alternator light has not come on.

Sounds like your alternator has died. Or the pulley clutch has failed and the alternator is not turning fast enough to charge. B.

Sounds like the voltaqe regulator within the alternator has a problem. On older-style alternators you could replace the regulator without removing the alternator. Don't know if that's possible with the modern VF alternators.

Edit. Checked with the Workshop manual, needs to be replaced as a unit. Refer to the attached.

With VF’s, the BCM has some control over on how the alternator charges the battery.

The VF workshop manual (search the forum) outlines the test procedure for checking all works as intended.
