Its MAX torque with no corrections. To put it in perspective, when my F6 had 400rwkw it made 820 NM "derived torque". Now at nearly 480rwkw it makes well over 1000NM. Chiron figures are at the engine.

A friend used same mainline dyno on his VF 325kw R8 (stock) and got 235 Rwkw and 410 NM derived torque..

This explains it. And of course a hub dyno takes out all the variables.

I've not looked at the video; are they saying that the engine's putting out that torque, or at the wheels?
If it's at the wheels it's possible, 'cos that's what gears are supposed to do (ie. to simplify - with a 1:1 diff & 5:1 1st gear, engine torque is multiplied by 5 at the wheels).
Mind you, unless it's on an engine dyno then the numbers are all +/- 20% anyway.

Just had a look on Carsales for 2017 VF Calais V8 and only found 2 for sale. There is about 2 or 3 pages of directors.
Is it because everyone is holding on to them because they are not impressed with the ZB?
Is it because they are still relatively new so no one is selling?
Does no one want to get rid of an 8?
And why so many directors that I thought would have been a collector's car? (Priced between 68 and 80ish K. What were they worth new?)
There is 31 V6's inc V series and standard.
I'd be interested in everyone's thoughts.
My opinion is the loss of the V8 option has probably hurt Holden a bit. And the ZB itself being a dropped pie of a car hasn't helped. I've looked at them several times and can't see anything that doesn't scream Asian car. I'm yet to find an angle that I like but I'm still trying.

Because Holden overestimated demand for them (and MSE's). In a nutshell, they built far too many.

    Interesting considering it's European heritage..

Yes, and Calais V8's weren't as popular as SS's

My rearBrembo upgrade cost me about $1k. Got new calipers off Amazon for <$200.

Just buy fronts from OS, you can get 6-P Brembos from a Cadillac CTS-V, direct fit and then buy really good two-piece DBA 5000 Series T3 club spec slotted rotors here. Add braided lines and just buy rear Brembos from a wrecker. You will have almost HSV-style brakes for less than $3k

Maybe a bit biased , but what about HSV 4/6 pots..?

Bolt on fit and shouldn't be too hard to come across.

I paid a premium ordering from Australia (Empire Performance) but others have bought through eBay and saved a lot of money. Mine were $1799 for fronts only, but they are red colour refinished. In the US, they only come in Silver, Black and Yellow.

Because even wreckers know they are on a good thing and charge you a mint for second-hand units. Upwards of $4k. Also, some of them need refinishing, anyway. I like mine, brand new, barely different, genuine Italian made Brembo....come with the Brembo name on the front.

A change of topic from brakes. I always found the Commodore driver side mirror to have a small field of view. All of my other cars have larger mirrors that are also convex, which I prefer. I replaced my driver side mirror with the Chevrolet SS passenger side mirror which I ordered from the local Holden dealer. Like my original mirror, it is heated and has the side blind zone alert. It also has the script about objects being closer than they appear, but it is barely visible. For me, it has made a big improvement in rearward visibility.

    How much was the mirror?
Also, did you just change the mirror or the housing as well

The mirror glass with backing plate was $138. The plastic housing was not changed. The box has instructions showing how to change the mirror. It is not too difficult. The part number for mine was 92260440. A convex mirror without heating and without side blind zone warning is part number 92260426. With heating it is 92260428.
