VF SSV Redline MY17 Dome Sensor Issue

Hi all,

So today I was giving my car a wash inside and out and as I was dusting off the dash and wiped over what I believe to be the light sensor dome it recessed into the dash? I was not using any real force when wiping and thought perhaps it would pop back up when I start the car. No such truth, I am taking the car in for the 1 month service on Wednesday and will flag the issue with the dealer. I don't believe it is supposed to ever sit inside the dash and I wasn't able to bring it back up when just trying gently.

But has this happened to anyone else and is it a serious problem?

Yes, it can happen easily with just light pressure - you have to be careful. The dealer should be able to fish it out again.
