Looks rather nice and well sorted @Ron Burgundy
But a little curious... it seems the standard intake and coolant plumbing is designed to cater for any engine movement that occurs when one hammers the accelerator. So I wonder how flexible the intake tube of an OTR CAI is as it seems to be much shorter and thus have less movement than the standard setup would. Guess it depends on how much the engine moves...
However, I do like the look of a OTR CAI and proper extractors along with and ECU and TCM tune..
So what sort of rough costs would one be looking at for a CAI and tune?
The bit that connects TB and MAF is very rubbery and flexible. Much softer than OEM stuff, so it still allows for some movement.
In the end CAI and tune cost me about $1600.
I could have saved couple hundred if I went with VCM but I preferred Harrop.
Most tuners have special deals with VCM. At some stage they had $1250 special with VCM.
I got Harrop mainly due to metal clips that clamp the CAI halves together. VCM is all plastic, and I was worried about durability given that the filter in this location will need more frequent service than in oem position...
