VH 253 Problem

If the carby was unused for a period of time before being reused on your car, the gaskets and power valve could be troublesome.

There would be crud in the carb....Pull the carb down and clean it out with a new gasket kit....Good chance the problem will be solved

Needle and seat probably getting stuck closed. Might have a bit of gum in there
