The air con in my VL has started making a constant hissing noise no matter which setting you choose. Air only comes out the top vents where it defrosts the windscreen. Ive been told that it could be a vacuum leak. Any tips would be appreciated.
Cheers.

Behind the selector panel there are like 7 vac lines that go into it. One or more of these coming off or perishing would both account for the hissing, and the lack of selection.

There is a screw above the panel which when taken out will allow you to remove it and look. Be careful not to pull too hard as you may dislodge more.

Is it just as simple as pulling it out? I can see one screw at the top of the selector panel. Is there others?

One at the top, then it should pull forward at the top, then unclip at the bottom. It will be a bit tight from memory, but again, dont reef it.
