Vl centre console high rise compartment

I've got a VL Executive and they don't have a compartment with a lid, they just have the hole in the glove box. How do you attach the high rise lid that are found in the berlinas and calais?

the executive may have had it, all plastic on the VL is now brittle and breaks easily, including that lid
it was attached to a metal hinge at the rear, and so lifted up
the bumper bars break easily so park carefully
