Ive always said that when the motor comes out of the Calais, ill be strapping a slug to the side of it :). However I dont want to rush things, so in the next few weeks ill be sorting out the fuel system for the new setup (while still trying to save for the respray in Feb :))

Boredom has finally kicked in!

And this is the result....

The plan is to polish it up (stainless system) and to wire brush the welds back and hit them up with some rustguard and some black paint.

On another note, Rob got me a Repco voucher for my birthday and it came in handy getting this badboy....

Well I finally had a full day to myself, so I decided to get some more work done on the boot release setup from an Executive, so Regency will approve welding up the bootlock hole.

The factory lever setup (this one is just a template for now until I get another one in better nick)

A bit of modification to the lever bracket and some bolts to get the setup in place.

Just need to drill another hole for the boot release cable to mount to

Well I had some more spare time today after work so I finished drilling the last of the holes for the boot release cable and all that is needed is to finish priming them so they dont rust.

Here is the mounting holes for the cable all finished:

And I also started on the next thing on the list, and thats mounting the boost guage. It dosent seem like the best spot to mount a guage, but once its all fiberglassed up and on the right angle it will be a good spot for the guage:
