Hi guys,

Been having this problem for a while ..

Got a VR 5L that has a slight intermittent hesitation when accelerating from idle.
It idles fine, and has heaps of power through all gears, just the slight hesitation whether stabbing it, or accelerating gently. Once it gets past the hesitation point, there is no problem.

I've change plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor, and had the injectors ultrasonically cleaned. The contacts inside the dizzy rotor were absolutely gunked up with crap and worn out really bad, so I thought I was onto something, but still no go.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Likely to be the hall effect sensor, or O2 sensor?

is it auto? i know my little VS 6 doesnt like going from 80->100, or more correctly, from 4th to 3rd at a "normal accelerating" rate.

My car car the same problem. I think the throttle body might need cleaning.

hingo1983: I gave my throttle body a clean not so long ago. Wasn't really dirty tho :/

Think i'll replace the O2 sensor next and see how that goes. Car has nearly 300,000 on it, so god knows how long ago it was replaced, or if at all.
