You've done everything else u might as well change the oxygen sensors tbh that's one of the first things I change when chasing fuel economy

OK cool, thanks.

How much am i looking at for new O2 sensors? Don't wanna spend too much if there's nothing wrong with my current sensors.

Also, would it be cheaper to get two from the wreckers just to test? Providing the ones i get from the wreckers aren't buggered aswell!!

EDIT: just called the local wreckers - $20 each out of good running motors. So i might grab 2 to test. If it brings my fuel economy down, then i'll leave 'em in there obviously.

$45 each for brand new Bosch sensors, not bad.

Mate, there's half your problem. Short quick runs. Your motor probably hasn't even reached operating temp in 8 k's!....maybe..

vs v6 wagon
the trips are bout 8km in 1 run and i do 4 runs a day ... different time

18/ 100km = 15.6mpg

I used to do short trips less than 5km and got 20mpg.

I would have expected that you get about the same.

As you are using 30% more fuel than myself I suggest look at the fuel quality.

What fuel are you using ?
Where do you buy it ?
Does the petrol station have high turn over ?

I am thinking is it diluted by mixing with other (stuff) ?

Also another question is the ute fully loaded all the time ?
