Hey guys, have an auto 1997 vs commodore and the brake booster is stuffed, my question is will a VT brake booster fit without major modifications. TIA

No (easy way).

Options are,

a) Either the old bracket needs to be modified (cutting and welding).

or

B) Preferably a new bracket is used to mount the VT type booster into a VS.

I think Sydney Race Brakes used to sell a bracket but not sure if those are available any more.

Not sure what mean?
1. No you can't fit a vt brake booster to a vs at all?
Or
2. You can fit a vt brake booster to a vs, but you have to adapt the old bracket by either cutting & welding it to the correct shape or buying one to suit if they are still available?

Re-formatted my answer, maybe it's clearer?

No.
If it can't be done, there usually is no options.

Well the OP asked if there was a easy way to which the answer is no. Does that mean it's not possible? certainly not but there is no easy way without either modifying a original part of purchasing a new part.

With a new bracket the install is actually fairly easy.

There was a guy in NZ making custom brackets that look very similar to what you can just see in that link. I have a couple of those here. It gets the spacing correct and the angle so the reservoir sits right.

It's a shame that guy doesn't sell the bracket by itself.
