Spray CRC, WD40, even fly spray around all vacuum hoses, especially where they connect, with the engine running...If you have a leak, the engine will rev up when you spray something like that at the hose/join

fuel trims are measured with a scan tool
not many can communicate with vx though
try disconnecting battery for 10 minutes, this will reset your fuel trims
you will need radio pin number
see if it makes it better or worse

After many hours of looking , head scratching and swearing I found the wires on the left hand side of plenum that directly feed the injectors were sagging and the back injector wire was actually resting on top of the cam cover. I'm wondering if this was the problem I lifted it off but it still stalled I wonder if there is damage to the wire.

pull on the wire gently, see if it breaks
get a small mirror and look at underside of wire and see if insulation has rubbed through
tape it just to be sure

Can't see anything that's burnt through, there was a tiny greyish mark on the rocker cover maybe just from the glue off the wiring. I have just acquired a spare fuel rail so will give tha a shot. There seems to be slight markings around fuel injector number 6 maybe the o ring not seated. Would this be enough to shut off a car at roundabouts?

no thats not your problem
might be time to pull throttle position sensor off and see if you have the little adaptor fitted
how long have you had this car and how long has problem been apparent
just to clarify
intermittent stalling only when warmed up and when releasing throttle
lopey idle at all times or only when cold
