Hey guys ive been looking around and I cant fjnd a definent answere for my 2 questions.

I have a super6 vy amd was wondering if I had the m80 diff
I also need to know if my car has 28 splines? If that makes any sense

Spline I don't know but yes you should have an M80 diff in a factory supercharged VY, same as fitted to V8 VY's.
Just check the gearing from the sticker on the side of the diff housing, 3.08=M78, 3.07=M80.
They are not always fitted with limited slip centres, sometime the oil filler plug just says heavy duty which means shot peened gears with single pegger centre.
Super 6's go really well with 3.46 gears, not 3.45 which is M78 diff.

All the borgy diffs have 28 spline axles. Except the old ones (vb - vl non turbo) there are 31 spline conversion available. Full spool 31 spline centres, harrop might make a 31 spline truetrack centre and possibly some other aftermarket lsd centres.

Thanks im planning to get the 3.9 gears and a mini spoolso hopefully all goes well :)

Spend the extra and get a true track.
