Ye, my first thought it had come from a container of grease on the road, as it had a smell of grease, like rubber grease,

Well, here we are under my Adventra, at 22:00hrs,
And the result of the Red stuff under it is,
Coolant ?
Assuming there is a o-ring on the pipe leading in the other pipe ?,
FFS, I just put the Red Coolant in as I didn’t think it was loosing any coolant!!!,
Oh well, just another PIA thing to look at !,
Your advise is most welcome !,

I know, motor out to replace the thermostat, nup
Won’t be happening !!!

Any other suggestions ?
Nope, not selling it till I do my Road Trip to Craigs Hut !!!!

Would NOT be able to afford another $5k rebuild !

If you won’t take out the gearbox, you’ll need to go in from the top with mirrors and soft creamy milky sensitive hands for feeling surfaces and bolts.

Would have been easy job to do if there was an access panel in the trans tunnel.

I did have those sort of hands in my younger days !,
had to feel my way for the bolt holes for the nuts,

I forgot to mention,
I did have a manual V8 Torana,
And that was the best training for feeling for the holes.

True, but isn’t there a o-ring on that pipe where it’s leaking ?
