Hi all,

So bare with me and I'll try explain everything this is my first post and I appreciate any help I can get.
My VZ Calais has been sitting for 10 months and I've had the battery disconnected. I'd Start it now and again and everything was fine. The other day I started as usual and moved the car 100 meters and turned it off. Went to start it...and nothing. The dash lights come on but don't dim when trying to start no fuel pump sound nothing. And I get fuel gauge error. I called lube mobile and he couldn't diagnose the problem. He just got a **** load of faults which I've attached to this post. So I've been googling and tinkering and have tried a brand new Holden key fob. Fiddled with the gear stick put in neutral etc (Auto) tried the unlocking and locking with the key incase it's immobilizer etc. I also took out the fuse for the ecu to reset everything and I should state I did that b4 lube mobile came and he said because I'd reset everything he couldn't be sure what it is. He said he cleared the codes but still got the ones I've attached. I hope this all makes sense and appreciate any help cheers.

as a start I'd put in a new battery and a new alternator
Ok cheers. Lube mobile dude did have a jump starter and I should also mention that the battery did go flat and I tried to start it and got the click click click sounds so charged it overnight put it back in and then back to nothing no clicks no fuel pump noise no dimming etc

Why ????????????
Borrow a battery, ok, but how old is the battery ??? but new alternator for what reason ?

OP. The problem could be the remote cause I have had new remotes fail and the problem is usually they have been on the shelf for too long.
Also if it has been sitting for 10 months, where was it sitting cause we have had a shirtload of rain so little gremlins like rats/mice/geckos may have got into the engine bay and had a feast on the wiring, or died somewhere, also some connections /earth points may have been compromised due to moisture.

New battery first as previously advised. Don't waste time on the old one. You can hold fire on the alternator until you determine whether or not it's charging the new battery.

Thanks mate yeah I don't want to buy a new battery just yet.. I 100% need a new one I know but I also know it's not the problem and don't want it to go flat also from just sitting there. It's just been sitting in Brisbane and there's spider webs under the bonnet so you could be right. Stuffed if I'd know where to start though I'm no mechanic by any means I mostly just google stuff lol but I'm a little cluey lol I can put in full stereos etc so yeah ok cheers mate. From everything I've researched and the lube mobile guy even said it might be either BCM or ecu. Oh and I've just set up the new key fob today with the map kf200 thingy. So same problem with new and old key

Ok so I bypassed the relay as per the video and it didn't start but was definitely trying to crank...I put the relay back in a tried to start and click click click so battery is dead again....
So... By a new battery...get a new or rather refurbished ecu as that's all I can find...put it on and get someone with a tech2 to link everything yeah guys??????

It’s already been recommended that you try a new battery first at least twice above. Listen to the knowledgeable guys who are trying help you first even before thinking about a reco ECM. If the padlock light goes out with key in ignition it’s not key, slip ring or immobiliser. A lot of those DTC’s are just caused by the flat battery. But maybe not all, the mechanic sounds inexperienced saying that pulling the fuse has caused more issues but I’m not a trained mechanic either

You need a new battery. It’s been said over and over. Don’t start chasing things down rabbit holes.

Get the voltage right with a healthy battery that can handle start load.
