Yesterday the Mrs new VT got towed here. Soaked the engine and transmission with degreaser, gourneyed the hell out of them & around the engine bay as well as under the front of the car.

Found some of the leaks: rocker covers, power steering rack, power steering reservoir. Could be more to find still.

Flushed the cooling system including heater core.

Noticed steam coming from inside the fan shroud, couldn't see the exact point it was coming from even with holding my phone and video recording inside the fan shroud. It seems like the steam only shoots out when it gets warm the closes as it gets hotter.

^^ ey where do you get MSD leads from ?

Covered mine in dust while i was doing reno's. Tomorrow morning will wash it then i need to get some wax.......

I got them off eBay, $100 including postage

Finished flushing cooling system (removed LHS knock sensor to flush lowest point in cooling system). Started to fill with coolant while engine running & noticed coolant leak at water pump. Will have to have a better look next time to see if it is the shaft or gasket.

Stared at it, washed it, and just pulled the fuel tank cover out the back of the ute to work out the design for my sub box, not much really.....

Replaced the water pump pulley and belt to match.. Gunna wash her soon too..
