Yesterday: bought a towbar & harness from wreckers, when I finished work noticed it had no tongue and called wreckers to be told they stuffed up and it didn't come with one.
Today: had day off work and took towbar back.. When walking in the customer door noticed a vx that had the same bar and had a tongue and got the tongue off that for free.
Had to fix some wiring of the trailer harness and tested it with a trailer.

On Friday I'll go about installing the towbar and then move Saturday morning.

Put 1000km on it then parked it in the garage... Ignition barrel broke shortly afterwards :(

So earlier this arvo whilst on the way back from work, I came up with a fail safe idea & wrapped OTR intake duct in the Formshield heat insulation.

Secured it very well with heavy duty transparent webbed scotch duct tape right around the intake from end to end & top/bottom, plus safely screwed into the shroud from the base through the top, so the insulation can't come off.

This completes the anti heat soak campaign for VP-S OTR CAI. Noticeable performance results for minimal outlay - mmmm cold air :)

booked it into the mechanics (im a lazy fella). while said mechanic was building another of his cars, had enough bits sitting around to build a complete car basically.
also asked him about a few things to potentially do in the future about the car. and got some tips on when looking at buying a car.
and drove it around for some various bits and pieces.

took the other ride for a good pedal. tomorrow shall be its first day off the beaten track.
tip: dont take a bike that is unavailable in aus into a bike shop on the busiest day.... rookie error =P

Took it for a drive, then washed it, then stashed it back in the garage...

Considering pulling the flood light out and giving it a late night clay bar, polish and wax...considering..
