The private school I am prac teaching at was having a car wash for the Blue Mtn fires, so I took both cars down. Judging from their reaction many of the students had never seen a VB Commodore before. A couple of the students doing it are in my classes, so I imagine there will be a discussion topic come monday.....

Many moons ago ,when I was about 9 or 10 back in South Africa my dad had a Opel Senator , ( badged as a Chevrolet ) which was what the VB was sort of based on , anyway , cleaned my MAF sensor and intake

Stripped the rear lower shock mount on my VY.
Currently holding the shock in by 20 cable ties.
Going to get a nut and bolt from work on Monday. Hopefully don't have to drill it out bigger.

Went for another drive and recording fuel trim, etc.

Seems, atleast according to OBD that fuel trims are out of spec.

Take a look at: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5bj8ycwuguftgd6/trackLog-2013-Nov-02_22-01-45.xlsx

Looking at that spreadsheet, seems the car is running quite lean.

The odd thing i see if there are differences between bank 1 & 2, i would assume would lean more towards dirty fuel injectors?

VE SV6 utility
A few days ago finished timing belt, front main, water pump and drive belts change. Tested it after coolant level stabilised, by running WOT in top gear for about 30 min. In a sierra thats still only 110. :whistling

Was a fun job because pretty much all the little m6 bolts were seized. Dremels are "a challenge" to use, trying to remove a broken hardened steel EZ out in an ally block.

Put hose clamps on the injector rail fuel line. Think I might get some silicone tape later on in the next few weeks, just for good measure.
