I could be wrong, but dandenong plant stayed open producing corollas/novas until about 1996 when the holden/toyota joint venture ended and part of the site is still used today bu holden for making and storing car parts.

I don't know about the Toyota thing (sounds about right though). HSPO was based out of there for quite a while.

.. and I used to travel up from GMH FB to do stock checks on the CKD boxes coming from Isuzu with Geminis in 'em
(as I had to approve for the payment their invoices)
