I have never really liked the look of the VE, the SV6, SS and Clubsports look ok but i dont really like the over all shape.
Interior wise I agree with the cheapness feel but we arent paying Mercedes money for them either so there has to be a compromise on budget and quality. Having both an FG falcon and a VE commodore at work i can say i prefer the interior of the Falcon, crap driving position but interior is niver than the VE. The Stereo/air con display in the FG is much better, shows alot of detail, compare this to the one in the VE (well the lowest spec one, not sure what its like on the higher spec models) which looks like it has come out of a kids cheapo laptop toy.
Seats are good, much better seating position than the FG, there isnt enough room under the steering wheel in the FG and you get your leg stuck under it when you get in if you are tall.
