@krusing keep the hub as a whole. I'm looking myself for the cheapest front hub I can find, be it new or SH. I want to make a tool up to paint wheels and I reckon a front hub will be a perfect way to start.

I bought a pair from a reputable supplier in Geelong,
As mentioned, I replaced them because I wanted to,
Not that I had to.

Speaking about VE Wheel Studs,

I have a couple of old front Hubs from my VE,
As I replaced them at 150,000 k/m,
Because I could at the time,
But the old ones have been left out in the rain,
So would it be worth pressing the old studs out ?
Save them for a rainy day so to speak ?

I did that (but not the rain bit) with some old hubs from a VX. I kept the studs … and never needed them. :)

Then hang onto it as a spare, that's too good to use to build a wheel painting tool.

I'm confuse.
I'm confuse.
“I bought a pair from a reputable supplier in Geelong,

And I have the old hubs, but left out in the weather,
So I thought about pressing the old studs out, and saving them for a rainy day,
Or donate them.

Sorry, I just had some medication.
Now I understand what you were saying.
