Drifting..

I could have sworn we had a thread about drifting up here? Seems it's disappeared, for me anyway.
So how about a thread to discuss drifting? Who drifts, where, car setup?

As from the old thread, my R31 skyline and another member's VR setup for drift - from Team Lucifer Motorsport.

Im a fan, of sorts. But why do all drifters have to take the front bumper off? I understand the theory, but surely a standard-ish height car wont slam the bumper.

Bumper off = see wheels at good drift angle.

But most probably the bumper that arrived with the car is broken off!! :)

You guys have some odd thoughts about drifting :p - I've yet to see a car on the track with standard height suspension :/

Everyone goes onto the track at the start of the day with the car complete - if the front bar is missing it's because they have come off the track at some stage and it's been ripped off - plain and simple.
I only secure my front bar with cable ties though, not screws or bolts as factory, that way when your front bar gets hooked on the grass or whatever the cable ties snap and the front bar is fine, if you had it screwed on like factory the front bar would rip apart.

Didn't mean to put up pictures without front bars - only just realised this. Here are a couple with front bars intact

Yep, i've been following that guy for a while now! Great build, always nice to see something different. S13 Silvia is one of my favourite cars, but you get tired of seeing them at track days.
