lol, killjapcrap. I don't mind the nicely done jap car..especially on a track. Would much prefer to be driving an Evo 9 or something around a circuit than any ford or holden. Unfortunately i cannot justifying paying so much for a car that does corners well :p

I remember not long ago watching a skit Craig Lowndes did on full frontal many moons ago with "Poida" (Eric Bana) And he was driving a Clubsport and said hed never go to Ford haha. How times change.
you would be surprised at what people say when they are signed to a brand.

I was always of the belief that lowndes was a ford boy growing up, drove for HRT as that is who offered him a drive

I suspect that the only reason Lowndes is still at ford is because of a watertight contract. It has taken a lot longer than he ever thought for Ford to put a competitive car under his backside. When did he swap - 2000? (I stand to be corrected) and it's only been the last 18 months or so that he has been a real contender.

Ford paid bucket loads of coin to get Lowends from Holden in the first place so contracts dont mean a thing but i dont see them letting him go in a hurry.

I believe his first car was a Lotus Cortina which was very deeply hidden during his time with Holden. Last I heard it was on display at the Ford discovery center. His father was a Brock mechanic in the HDT days though. So I guess it's fair to say he likes it both ways.

It was there, right beside my soon to be father in laws XY Phase 3 GTHO. I havent been in for a little while now so not sure if it is still there.

IIRC Craig used to drive a black Maverick or similiar in his early days at HRT before he got his first Holden company car as well

So after 1 week since Ford won Bathurst, how have the Ford blokes been to you guys?

I copped a bit of slack, but just laughed it off. At the end of the day, it's just motor racing.

Although I love it how they say Holden have been lucky over the years, and how they always cheat. blah blah blah

It'll never change though. We'll always be bad, and they'll always be good. It's been like that for years.

Atleast Holden fans had the courtesy to not boo the crap out of the 3 Ford drivers.
