Strange, I have wondered if the first owner of my ute asked for a few extra upgrades. Because it seems to have things that not all utes have in my range.

Just checked Redbook and it doesn't mention power antenna either standard or optional. AC is optional and mine has that. Full pov pack only has LSD as an option so i am pretty sure mine is S pack as I have always believed. Sounds like it may have been optioned with a couple of other things as well.

I'm getting jack of Tas wreckers asking ridiculous prices for parts when they are bringing in the car crushers to fetch $10 a tonne, but if you want a part of that car before it's flattened they charge you a mint.

I went to our version of UPI a few months back to get two tonneau cover posts and originally he wanted to charge me $10 each.... Can't remember if I had to pay $10 or $5 the pair. I offered him $1 each and he was like oh, no, no, no.

Last 10 years in car sales for commodores no wounder they left this country.. By the looks they just got out of the market in time. The 80's and 90's were the good years for Holden as well as for the vx-vy period.

About why I cant be bothered with most old cars any more the parts are half rooted and the seller still wants the earth for them try buying parts for h series or earlier holdens I used to drive holden because they were cheap cars easy to get parts for .

That's why I only and I mean ONLY go to U-Pull-it here as all the prices are set in concrete and aren't subject to change depending on whether the idiot behind the counter got a bit last night or not from his missus.

This makes most other wrecking yards look like the most greedy bastards who think they are selling gold bullion.

In saying that though you can get caught with some parts being outrageously priced and obtainable far cheaper else where, but generally you're way in front at UPI.
