I've got three v8's. Does that make me three times unhappier?

I joined this forum about an hour ago........after buying a VE earlier this year I had stumbled across it a few times while doing some research.........yeah, I know it's a funny way to introduce myself but I couldn't resist........maybe if the OP was intending to "troll" he's succeeded.

By '71 I'd owned two English 4 cyl cars, then working in GM spares I found what was (at the time my dream), a 12 month old LC XU-1. After that was a string of Holden V8s, a VC Comm, a Range Rover, a few Suzukis (4 and V6) and now my current wheels, a late 2012 VE S2 SS "Z" Series ute......any car driven (in)correctly can be as scary as **** BUT this thing is capable of taking it to a whole new level and while I occasionally "plant" my foot to bring a smile to my face I actually find myself driving slower than I did in my Grand Vitara, go figure.

Anyways, I'll try to post a couple of pics and to the OP..........if you were just stirring a pot, then as funny as the replies were you've done well, if you were actually serious, then the rest of us can sit back and laugh a bit.

Why so many people with great cars look so unhappy.
You cruise along beside them, give them a smile and a thumbs up and they give u the deadest looks.

start doing this to everyone, record responses based on make, model and engine displacement. Your research is not scientific so your hypothesis is broken.

We need a better data set.

So you'd follow the below

Brand
Model
Engine capacity

after you've done that for say a month to all cars, truck, etc you see report back with the statistics.

Your responses would look like

Smiled
Waved back
Gave the finger
Ignored
Looked away
other

aaaaand go.

I think this may give you the answer to your question -

Beyond the Palace hemi-powered drones scream down the boulevard
Girls comb their hair in rearview mirrors
And the boys try to look so hard

Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run

If it wasn't for Google, what's the bet that the next response would be....Who is Bruce Springsteen ?

I'm unhappy cause I'm not driving (either of) my V8's......

But then I get behind the wheel of the missus Super6 and put a smile on my dial again.

$1.94 wholllll, I thought Launceston was expensive at $1.74 a litre. Where are you buying fuel, NZ?
