Hi y’all,

Will a 2015 vf s2 MY15 Calais sedan with the v6 accept the optional v8 engine as an upgrade?
rather than modding the existing v6 which has 130ks on it?

thx

Thanks Forg

the reason for the swap is because the v6 exhaust even modded sounds tinny... can you suggest a exhaust or mod package and or a workshop near Moorabbin in Melbourne to get the deeper v8 burble (I’m not a performance nut or street racer)and is it even worth spending money on the existing v6?

The reason I didn’t buy a v8 is because I could only afford the vf base model with 130k on it with the v6.... I paid 20 k for it and it’s in perfect condition, thought I’d be happy with the v6 but after hearing otr and exhaust and tuning exhaust burble which was not enough, now I wish I had the v8... I’m considering a second hand v8.... it’s ALL about the burble and I’ve always wanted a v8...

Yeah...
Just buy a V8
The swap would be a nightmare in every sense...(cost too).

You’ll spend a tonne more converting your 6 to an 8 than you would by selling what have and buying what you want..

But the price of a series 2 V8 is currently astronomical, especially considering they have a couple/few years on it.

Then either wait it out, jump in the time machine, or pray V6s have gone up as much!
