hey mate, as with all sysyetms, try external components you know work. i.e. use a cd player and try that of the amp. Try a different sub. Just keep changing stuff until you can find the culprate. Also ensure you dont have the x overs set to low pass or something of the sort...

he means the batt neg to chassis cable is stock. in laymans terms he is inferring you have **** house grounding and really should upgrade the neg to chassis wire.
