Looks messy without the engine cover. You should get one and paint it blue instead of red. Could look pretty sweet.

EBay my friend, spark plug lead insulators. Pack of 8, come in various colours. I got blue to match the car.

Will do, first service is in November. So will give it a check then.

I have one sitting in my room at home, it needs to be modified to fit though because of the various other covers I put on, power steering, fuel rail gauge etc. I was contemplating that, I might plasti dip the red parts of the HSV cover and dip them blue.

Update:

Another boot strut failed on me yesterday, noticed when I went to put my work port in the boot. Thought to myself, the bloody boot feels bloody heavier then my bag. Gave both struts a wiggle and one was dangling there.

So at the same time as replacing the broken strut, out came the boot sound install for a wire harness cleanup and ground point change.

No photos to show before and afters, as it was only a 5min job.

Other than that, not much is happening. Apart from future mods and stocking up on detailing and service items.

Small update:

Decided to plasti dip the bonnet protector and rear numberplate garnish only to see how it looks. Test phase for now.

And got some custom keytags made for myself and a mate.

Me likes, matches well with the bumper and fog light surround. Hopefully it last a decent amount of time until a respray is needed.

If the plasti dip doesn't last long enough, I'll just vinyl wrap it.
