same car mate. just havta put vh front panels on, vh/vk bonnet, vh/vk headlights (just make sure u use vk indicators, coz the orange ones look gay)
will take the good part of the day to do.
the front bumper/grille:
the vh brackets go inside the chassis rails and have nuts welded to them...
i dont think the booster would be the problem these motors can run with almost all the vacuum hose disconnected, i would suggest checking/tweaking ur idle screw, coz the first 10-15 mins of driving would more than likely have the auto choke on which is preventing it from stalling.
the choke...
hey all, this is doing my head in.
i have a 253 with a trimatic and i wanna kit it up a bit, but i cant find anyone that does shift kits for trimatics.
i reckon i wanna go full manual valve body (think dats what they call it)
does ne one know of any joint that does shift kits for...

No.9: 00454905 (Joint in SA has a couple and also a joint in WA has a couple)
No.10: 122246 (Obsolete)

it seems to be alot easier than i first expected looking at all those nuts and bolts and brackets, dont even need half of them
hey all,
just got me self a new toy for me VH.
it's a B&M Quick Silver Shifter but when i opened the box there were no instructions. now ive managed to work out most of the shifter side of things but when i install it i think im gunna be stuffed.
Just wondering if anyone has...
ok so this is me turbs that DANNY8 is talkin bout,
any idea what sort it is? the lad i got it off reckons its off a 300zx?
oh yea, just had a suss at me block and it seems she's a s2 so bring on tha turbs.
yea mate i understand. i was starting to think that.
i had a look at a wiring diagram but couldn't find much, prolly cuz i dont exactly know what i am looking for but i will have a deeper look and see if i can find it.
thanks for ur help mate
no probs mate, like to help out where i can
you can use t-pieces wherever you like. i put one on me bro's vk so he could run the after market gauge and also run an oil light that comes on when the psi gets too low. the oil lights uses the same one as the factory gauge tho but...
as previously said both ways of wiring up neons will work. legally u will need electrical gauges as mechanical ones require u having oil filled lines in the cabin that could split and u get covered in nice hot oil. the mechanical ones are illegal to have in the cabin but i dont think the cops...
hey all haven't been on here for a while but i need some help.
ok this is a bit tricky to explain but ill try.
me and me bro (Danny8) are currently halfway through putting a vl dash into his vk (and soon my vh as well) and i have come across a problem with the demister/wiper switches (vl...
yea well thats wot danny thought it couldve been aswell but then he took it for a drive and reckons its definatly not the clutch, but it feels like there is sumfin wrong with the cable, so i might just try another cable if we have one and see what happens
well i got my vh going today after we had the motor in peices, i was happy to hear it run but when i went to drive it the clutch just didnt wanna play.
we had the gearbox off to put the new clutch in and am 110% sure the clutch is in right because the last one worked and i put it in the same...
yes ive heard that too, but mine has thrown 2 salsbury diffs. i have a borgwarner diff in it now that does twins and the box is still feeling strong even chirps 2nd and does 2nd gear skids.
it does get a hard time but she's still goin strong
if all the screws in the dash are undone and the 2 of the 3 bolts then if u give it a bit of a yank it should come out, works everytime for me
yea replace it properly. i bent my metal pressure line when we pulled out the motor, so before raiding me brothers car i tried cutin up the pipe and using high pressure hose and double clamped everything got it all connected and it worked well until the second corner :( . just picture a garden...
fark, thats different or "It's nice, It's different, It's unusual" haha
when VHPirie and i were doin ours we wernt gunna have a top, so thats why we called it "Da Roadsta" so it would'nt've (dats a weird word haha) been a convertible but it was just for burnouts neways so it didnt matter.

no probs mate, correct me if im wrong but cant gas sometimes do more harm than good? unless the motor is built for gas?
if i ever went straight gas the main thing i would look forward to is ripping out the petty tank and throwin an extra pipe under there  love twinpipes.
goodluck...
varijets are better than holleys on these motors (i know a few ppl will agree, others wont). ive been playin with varijets for a few years now and have never really had probs wif them.
reason being the varijets atomise (think thats the word) the fuel better therefore burns better. would be...
hey mate, cold air induction would be pretty useless (if its just a 6).
Yella Terra make all sorts of gear from heads to induction setups for superchargers but what Tom was talking about was a head not headers, but yes extractors are headers but a head the intake and exhaust manifold hang off...
