I'd imagine 2.5 inch would be sufficient cause if people use that size on the 3.8 i'd imagine it would be just the right size for the 3.6 (alloytec). Not sure about the CAI.

Yeh it smells a fair bit but i found that it gave the car a much better note after bashing the guts out. Rougher, i suppose you could call it, havent heard another commodore sound like it yet. Sounds very good in the 5 speed.

your comparing a charged motor to a naturally aspirated motor. a 5l to a 3.8. their 2 fairly different engines kinda like comparing a viper 8L v10 to a supercharged 350 chev. although for pure street cred and sound a v8 never fails to impress. but some people have got some pretty good power...
