You sure its the padlock symbol and not the seatbelt or the handbrake one??? The only things that cause the beeping alarm are Handbrake, Seatbelt, ect. Which might mean that you have a problem with one of the sensors. :idea3:

What villan says is right, in that menu you simply keep pressing set to change between the different screens until you find the one for the alarm/ indicators. Towards the end of the menu's there is also a trouble codes which will list a code for any mojor fault, but to find out what it is you...

Yeah they do, although its intermittent at times, Since series 2 VY's are dual cats though ill have to replace both, mite get outside in a bit and belt them with a mallet, see if it changes the vibration at all

yeppp, all said and done, not too much to fix up, could have been worse since there was a lighter on the back seat, which they used to melt some of the wiring off the head unit......could have come back to a puddle of molten metal :( @azk, meant that when i unlocked it after havin cops go...

thanks for all the replies, the head unit is powering on fine as is the amp, i connected a 12V LED to the "REM OUT" of the amp, and have also run the multimeter over the connections, and all seem fine, there is no signal running to the amp, have even tried directly connecting the amp to the rear...

I agree, it does depend alot on the quality of the kit in question, but genuine kits are always top notch, and they dont make you cry when you enter a shopping centre car park with speedbumps
