Belt slipp at high revs ls1

The smooth pulleys are idlers. They don't drive anything, so there's no rotational load on them. (except for the bearing friction which is negligible). On the ribbed pulleys you are running an alternator, ps pump etc. If this were the case your tensioner is stuffed because the rotational...

Too much wheelspin, advice please? :-(

The 18s are also probably a higher rotational inertia which is reducing your acceleration. I noticed the drop in acceleration going from stock 17s to aftermarket 18s on the misuses bmw

Belt slipp at high revs ls1

New belt? There's no load at the smooth idlers so it won't be slipping there.

what is a good sound system for my VY ute?

Can't find it online. But type r is geared towards spl competitions. Type s is geared towards SQL. For example type s components are bi-amp able

what is a good sound system for my VY ute?

If you want all one brand. Go for alpine type r gear (loud) or type s (not as loud but better sound quality). Decent components(in the front) and a sub are plenty for a sedan. Will be fine in a ute. 6x9s effectively do what a sub and some read fill do, but not as well. They pointless of you...

    Compression test: 85 on 5 strokes / 130 on 10 strokes...good or bad?

You will always get inconsistent results unless the engine is warm when you test compression. Usually you also have a minimum compression (100psi). I'd say your fine.

    Vy sunroof

Don't fit a sunroof. Buy a new car with one from the factory. They have to strengthen the roof around it. Not sure about on newer cars but cars from the 80s and early 90s they're a major source of rust

I agree. Although you have plain packaging over there now so it's in line. Was loving the vodafone commodore painted to match the old malboro cars though

Vehicle backwards movement when auto moved into P

You shouldn't let it sit on the auto box in park. The park is a small solenoid which locks the gears, it's designed as a backup when your handbrake fails. You should always select neutral, pull the handbrake. Release the foot brake and let it set then depress the foot brake and select park.

    Popped interior light fuse

Found the short. getting ready to sell it served as motivation. Appears to be a factory issue. The wire to roof is mounted under the drivers seat belt and has worn through. All working now.

    L67 economy

Hey I was wondering what fuel economy you guys get from the factory supercharged 6. And maybe with a tad more boost than factory. I mainly do city driving on a day to day basis and am getting 15l/100k out of my ls1. Was looking at a nice supercharged Calais but wondering of it'll do...

    underbody turbos??

Turbo lag is a very real thing. Yes the turbo can create a static pressure but you don't have static pressure the volume of air is flowing into the cylinders. Increased restrictions, such as an intercooler generate greater turbo lag. A second is also quite a long time

How to rebuild a steering pump VN-VP-VR

    Confused with my diff.

Other way round. Lower diff ratio will cause it to rev higher for the same speed and gear. Lower ratio will improve acceleration.
