The yellow wire should be behind the headunit, probably slightly larger than the other wires coming out of the headunit.
That should get power whenever the key is in the acc position, so you know the remote wire is sending a signal

Yeah, this site is great. It's taught me pretty much everything I know about cars...well that and just going out and having a go

The amp should only be on when the ignition is on, is that whats happening now? Unless you connected the REM from the amp to the power wire, rather than accsesories

were getting mixed up now, so your amp works, and we know its not a power/earth or fuse related problem.
Its the on/off signal being sent to the amplifier. Is the amplifier on, even when your ignition is completely off?

then you've connected it to the constant power wire, and not the accsesoires wire..You should have a yellow wire, and an orange coming from the cars harness( not from the head unit..) the yellow is for accsesories, the orange is a constant 12v wire. Does your Head unit turn off properly when you take the key out?

the yellow is coming from the harness maybe the yellow is the 12v con n the orage if the accs

n were the yellow wire comess (the harness the clips into back on h.u) it goes for abit then its sticky taped cos feels like its been slipt into to wires
