hard to tell but it could be a pulley or water pump.

you can probe around the pulleys and water pump with a long handle screwdriver to your ear if you are capable of working around a running engine.
if not buy a stethoscope to do the job.

if you find it you will know it by the sound.

Any rough idea of how much I’d be looking at for a new water pump + install?

400 bucks on ebay for a genuine pump and you will need coolant.

they are easy as to install, when i did mine i did the belts too.
if you get a mechanic to do it i would expect around 2 hours to be charged.

i would probe it first to make sure it is the pump before changing it.

I’d take the drive belt off and rotate the idler pulleys and water pump by hand you should be able to feel which one is a bit rough to turn

Any guides or quick rundown on how to change it over? Haven't really worked on cars before other than doing oil change/spark plugs but I'm pretty eager to learn and do stuff myself where applicable.
