Hey all, first time posting. Apologies if it’s not in the right place.
Need to replace the radiator and wanted to get some suggestions on what the best ones to look at are.
Figured buying new is probably the best option.
Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions

Yes get a new one for sure. Jayrad, Repco, Autobarn or even some known brand eBay ones should be ok. Try a local cooling specialist for a price.

Don't listen to any suggestions that you should modify your factory connections to suit an aftermarket radiator.

The radiator must have the same hydraulic standard fittings that Holden use. Also the fittings must be in the correct position because the hard lines must connect at a perfect angle or you'll get a leak.
We bought one that came with adapters to make their NPT fittings compatible with Holden hydraulic AN fittings. The adapters for compatibility isn't a bad idea, as long as they supply them with the radiator. The fittings DON'T use gaskets, O-rings or washers. Has to be a perfectly aligned fit.

We had a faulty (obvious manufacturing fault) adapter and the manufacturer told us they don't have a spare adapter to send as replacement.

So we wasted weeks of our time complaining until we finally boxed it up. Sent it back.

If you buy online, make sure the seller answers correspondence and use PayPal.

Waiting for refund so we can finally fix car. Had to spend money on radiator stop leak so we could use car. Money we should not have needed to spend.

Had a look on eBay originally, googled something or other and supercheapauto came up, had a look at that which was $250ish, seems high after looking through old threads on here though?

That can’t have been fun :/
But yeah, definitely want one that matches the factory ones. Gone through threads on here a thousand times for info just like that, I’d have thought any made for the car would be moulded off the factory ones. Cheers for the heads up, will definitely be having a close look at any I consider

Hi
Got one for a friends vy v6 a few months ago, from Natrad in Geelong. $210 supply only. Friend had no problem fitting it.
Out of curiosity, l asked how much for a vt v6. He said they came out with 3 different ones, which one did l have? ( I didn't know. Still don't). He had a look & quoted me the same, $210.
Anyway hope this helps.

Cheers mate, had seen Natrad mentioned a lot on here but couldn’t find more recent threads(2012 was the most recent I think) so wanted to see what the word of the day is
