Hey guys,
Just purchased a set of brand new c5 corvette calipers.
Wanting to put them on my vz ss
Will they bolt straight up? What will I need to fit them I think an adaptor is required to fit them?

Any insights would be good for anyone who has done it!

Some photos attached of calipers.

I take it you dont have 320mm rotors?

The 320mm rotor setup has a different slide bracket where the holes are on an angle. The 330mm HSV uses the standard slide bracket you have here, but they have an adaptor that brings the brakes out further. You may be able to use these with the factory size rotors but thats a fruitless exercise as the caliper is still just a 2 piston PBR caliper that uses a very similar sized pad.

For those looking for the VZ PBR brake upgrade you want the C6 version. C5 I believe was the same as VT HSV. Much of a muchness

GTO with factory bracket is for 320mm rotors
HSV with bolt on adaptors is for 330mm rotors

Hey mate,

Nah I have 298mm just standard ss brakes.
I have a vz ssz but a previous owner has swapped the good ssz brakes for standard ss brakes for whatever reason.

Yeah so was just curious as If I’ll need the adaptor bracket to fit them as they will be an upgrade over my stock ss brakes I have at the moment.

Yes, you need the brackets as shown in post 3 for the fronts.

Same goes for the rears - they’re specific cast steel brackets for the 315mm rotors.

As I mentioned they won't be an upgrade at all unless you manage to get them to adapt to 320 or 330mm rotors

Does anyone know who makes the brackets? Or where I can get them?

Fairly sure these calipers go with 330mm rotors mate as they were an option on Hsv Clubsports I think vy you could option these brakes as an upgrade

That's the real issue, don't think you're going to find them.

In regard to my last post, both stock and c5/c6 calipers are 2 piston calipers made by PBR, Both 1332 and 7599's have a similar surface area. So no not much difference without the larger disc
