check oil warning beeping

2006 SS Thunder Ute 6ltr V8 manual
changed the oil and filter and cleared the 180K service request
but it still beeps and carries on a few times during every drive
oil sensor maybe?
where might that be?

If it’s a V6, engine could be gunked up. Hope not.
The oil sensor on LE0 and LY7 it is located on the passenger side near the oil filter. You need a 27mm(?) deep socket for it.

LS is located centre rear of the of intake manifold near the firewall.

it's a V8 L76
once it is removed can it still be driven? or will oil leak out?

You have to replace it. Oil will spray out everywhere otherwise.

This is it down the back of the manifold on the LS. (Has the plastic sleeve over the wiring.)
The car can be driven after the sensor is replaced
