One more thing, it doesn't do it at all when it's cold. Temp gets to 108°
ok cold is when oil is thick, i'd bet your bearing clearances are to big for stock pump, try a high volume pump.

What where cam bearings like? Worn cam bearing can impact oil presure a bit in ls1

You need to hook an oil pressure gauge into it somewhere and find out what pressure your getting at startup... looking around the web you should be near 40psi cold start then drop to around 30 as it idles down...quick search says bumps up 10 psi for every 1000rpm . .... Only other 'do nothing' option I see is raise the idle until the beeping stops and open the heater to full on .Best bet is find out how much oil pressure you have at idle...if your just a few pounds off I wouldnt stress it...maybe look for a pressure switch that suits the lower range. .you need to know how much pressure you have though and how much its increasing by.

You bearing clearance should dictate what oil grade and pressure

I've seen a few who have got this wrong and lunched a freshly built "loose" motor

The right oil pressure from the oil pump is like your heart, you want it right

The right weight oil is like your blood, you want that right

Otherwise your looking at an engine equivalent of a heart attack or stroke, neither are a good option

Safety first

****. That looks difficult. But still better than full removal. Either way I reckon that guy should replace his sump anyway. Looked cracked in several places

no
its time to find out what your oil pressure is
going heavier may introduce valve train issues

Yeah waiting on a mate to drop by with an OBD2. I will let you know how I go.
I was just looking and it's probably a long shot, but could a faulty battery cause a faulty reading

should be a regulated power supply to sensors
and alternator voltage with engine running
so highly unlikely

So confused. Just ran the car down the shops and back. Up to 104° and nothing. No warnings. None at idle. None on hill. None driving. Really can't wait to get a reading on this oil pressure

How is the temp getting to 104 by just driving, car moving? Or is it getting up to 104 by sitting at the red light for a few minutes?
