How is the temp getting to 104 by just driving, car moving? Or is it getting up to 104 by sitting at the red light for a few minutes?
She gets up pretty quick. Only 5 minutes driving and she's about 80-90. But yeah 104 in my driveway and lights. Could that be an issue. Needle never goes above half. I think I need to add more coolant to my mix. She does run quite warm but never overheating

So just had the car running. Still waiting on a scanner but I have noticed it happens at 110° Gonna stick some concentrate coolant in and see how that goes. In my opinion the colour could be a little darker

Can't see it being a coolant mixture problem, with the temp getting up quick....

I have a V6, running straight water and it takes me sitting at a set of lights after a fair bit of running for the temp to move up from 2 needle widths from the cold mark....And my a fair bit of running, I mean 10 minutes travelling at 90 KPH, then stopping at lights on a 30+ degree day

Starting to think you have few issues going on here, but have no idea what

She's a cammed LS1 with otr and headers. Ground crank, polished heads. Not sure on what cam but she is lumpy. Used to her getting hot fast. I've had her about 4 years.

So confused. Just ran the car down the shops and back. Up to 104° and nothing. No warnings. None at idle. None on hill. None driving. Really can't wait to get a reading on this oil pressure
You are talking about coolant temp., not oil temp?

I do have a warm 6 as well.....Crow 664 cam, mild porting, holley....3 core copper rad, can't remember the thermostat temp range and this doesn't get upto the temps you're referring to unless I have done some running and stop at lights at on a hot day....Again, tap water with that....

Yes, I'm referring to 6 bangers with my quotes but still yours still seem excessive with the quick temp rising you're reporting.....

Your oil pressure issues...Have you spoken to the old mechanic as to what oil viscosity you should run with the clearance on the crank you have?
