The engine is also running in the photo, so would be more than enough pressure with no top hose clamp to make it run out the top, can even see it on the top of the housing. Either way hope you got it all back and running without leaks.

We all make silly mistakes sometimes.

Infact if you go to the thread all about stupid things people have done while working on the car you will see that many people have done even stupider things. SUCH AS ME hahaha

You cant fight the evidence.

Yeah well maybe there was coolant coming out of the rubber hose and dripping down but a majority of it was coming out from underneath the thermostat housing.

Anyway it is now all fixed up :)

Its funny my gasket was 14yrs old l just changed the gasket and thermostat, it was paper with no jasket sealant it lasted 14yrs without out any sealant some lf these experts at auto shops dont know what they are talking about l know l work in one of those shops. Good spotting to haha
