So basically what is happening is stupid. The dash says that the door is closed but all of them are closed. I know it’s not the trunk or hood because the car didn’t have that function it’s a 2008 caprice Middle East. So I’m confused on how to know if it’s the entire mechanism/ actuator of the door or wiring and also how do I know which door it is? Im asking because I don’t wanna take apart all 4 door cards just to pull the plug on each actuator and short it to check for what does what. Also if someone has a diagram as to what the plug does so I don’t short something I’m not supposed to that would be appreciated.

Possibly the Drivers Door Actuator,
or
The wiring in the Transfer boot between the Door Pillar and the Door.
How do you know it’s the drivers door? Also by drivers door do you mean right side or left side steering wheel because it’s different here

What ever side the Drivers Door is on,

is the Drivers Door.

The door that gets used the most...

Possibly by the Driver !

Unless they have a back seat driver,
Then that changes the whole characteristics of the fault.

so it’s not the drivers door for sure. I know this because if you turn off the car as soon as you open the drivers door the radio shuts off so that’s definitely not the door. I took off the door cards and took a look at the actuator connector I’m trying to see which wires I should short but really I have no clue. I need a wiring diagram or something to know what part of the connector tells the BCM that the door is closed.

Just download the Holden manual for it. Heaps of links.

Before you start messing with the wiring,
get it scanned,
The BCM menu has a function for testing, and status of devices,
This will indicate which door appears to be open,
Then it’s a process of elimination by testing what needs replacement.
