No it's not true. But like the first article states issues can arise from the removal.
I would like to inspect the main bearings on a V6 with the delete done and see if one bearing has more wear than others. My hunch is the front main will have excessive wear and maybe even cap walk.
Not within normal operating rpm of a stock v6. As immortality said, it's to maximise driver comfort.

The way they are balanced they move in 2 planes both side to side and up and down the Balance shaft stops the harshness of the up and down its all for customer comfort so they don't complain about the vibrations. We run out to 6800rpm on a stock rotating assembly stock balancer and home made flex plate that's part big block chev cut down and got the ring gear off a v6 on it. Gets fed over 21psi of boost and has in the 700+hp range at the crank.dont need no stinkin balance shaft haha

The driver comfort is a falacy it's and old wives tale coppied by every guy on a forum for the past 15 years.
Do some reasearch and you will learn.

Nope the balance shaft takes out the second order harmonics. It's not as simple as you state.
Yea chev made odd fire V6 engines for nascar they also had semi odd fires and odd fire 60deg V6's but these engines were not made for 300,000km duties.
They also had forged cranks apprantely they used to snap cranks on odd fire engines if they were cast.

I like the old "I've done it so it's fine to do" lines.
How many kilometres are on these engines that run fine? has there been any tear down and inspections or am I just getting fed anecdotes........

We used to pull the bearing caps every year after race and skid comp season was over. After 3 years of flipping it to check bearings and finding the looked like the day we put them in we just stopped looking haha

Yea but how many kilometres does it get? Nascar teams could get a season or two out of their odd fire V6 engines but thats about 1500km of driving from memory at 6500rpm. That's not a ideal engine for a daily driver.
