Help!!!! leaking coolant at the back of the motor?

we had the same problem with the vz it leaked coolant after the thermostat housing was replaced so took it back to the mechanic
he just re tighten the bolts he said if it still leaked he would have to replace a gasket which it didn t that was 7-8 years ago

Guarantee you its the spout seals at the front of the engine. They leak coolant into the valley which runs down the back of the motor.

hi guys ive had the thermostat housing replace as use know, i also have my water pump replaced and my water inlet rubbers replaced, still low coolant but not too low, my mechanic reckon its normal for the VE's coolant to sut low, is that true ? i dont wanna stuff my friggan car

you should see coolant when you unscrew the cap

Keep filling it - there will be small pockets of air that keep bleeding out due to having so many items replaced.
When I did my thermostat recently, it took me a week to get the system completely full again

Another questinon?
ive noticed a noise (knocking type) in the front end when driving, 5okms per hr or when i hit little bumps at a slow speed? i dont really hear it driving at a faster speed.. it sounds like it at the drivers side, and ideas on what it could be????

More than likely strut mounts are knackered - easy fix tho.

i have the same problem with my alloytech water leaking in to the valley have replaced thermostat housing and o rings etc and also front inlet seal and o ring but still water leaking down back of motor could be head gasket but i haven't heard of this happening any help would be great
