    Hi Matphoenix,
I've ordered front sports armour on my MSE, one parking mishap will pay for it. I have seen it on 2016 Redlines and I reckon that it balances out the black section under the rear bumper and looks great. I've gone for Nitrate with a black wing spoiler and tinted windows so it's a silver/black theme. Hopefully the armour looks as good with the blacked out front but am taking EternityDre's thoughts on board. I'll let you know the final result in June. Worst case, I can remove it.

My worst case is that I scrape my MSE and then get the sports armour to cover it up :)

Is removal easy? Is there any indication it was on in the first place ie visible screw holes? I've ordered Spitfire so maybe the black will blend with the car's black finish and tint?

I personally hate the sports armour on the car, but here is a pic of spitfire with the sports armour on.

It seems to be a combination of screws/plugs and double sided tape. The fixings don't look visible so they must be underneath.
Super Coaches photo shows the armour on Spitfire nicely.

Yes I had to convince myself but now I'm sure I will never look back. I was worried that Red colour will fade over time but mainly the look being too plain before I saw it the Motorsport Theme.
My First preference was SOAG but all the black highlights are lost being so dark
My Second preference was White but in the Motorsports Theme it looks like someone has taken to the front of it with lipstick (my opinion)
My Third preference was Slipstream but it is not available in Motorsport Edition.
I'm not against Spitfire but felt it was a little too loud as a daily driver and I also couldn't see what it looked like in a Motorsports Theme (stickers) since the media release cars were not displayed in Spitfire. I did want a colour that will always be recognised as a 2017 Holden colour, however I then realised that the Motorsports Theme stickers also takes care of that anyway.

These are all the things I considered when I reluctantly took Red on my order form on the 19th January for my Motorsport car, now that the dust has settled I'm so convinced that I will never look back in years to come.......each to their own reasons.

If anyone is going for a Director, personally I think that SOAG will look very classy, it's theme as a "Director".

    Hi 73XU1,

I am in the same boat as you.

I have 'reluctantly' opted for a red MSE b/c I don't like the red sticker theme on the white car.

But I was driving beside a Red VF SV6 last night, and it looked really good.

Wish they offered a metallic red colour though.

Yes me too. I was driving beside a "Black Edition" SV6 in Red that was very clean and it did look much better than I anticipated. The colour looked nice and deep and did sit well with the black bits, for whatever reason my mind always thought Holden Red being lighter but dull from neglect.....proberly because that's what my fiancee's 2001 Celica looks like.
Now that you mentioned it, metallic red, now that would be something to see!

Red looks great. If you're worried about it fading get it Opticoated.

The other week I parked beside a VE in red. It didn't look that good-was light and dull. The VF looked much better.

    Yes, thinking about Opti-coat.

Must be hard leaving your keys and car with someone else overnight.

So opticoat no only helps protect surface but also against colour fade.....awesome....I'm going to do a bit of info digging/understanding as soon as time prevails.
    Cheers EternityDre

Here's a copy of the CSIRO report into the scratch and chemical resistance of opticoat mate, you'll see why so many on here rave about the stuff, it really is as good as they claim.

The last lines say it all in terms of chemical resistance "Conc. Hydrochloric Acid;: No effect, Conc. Phosphoric Acid: No effect, Ethanol: No effect..."

Can anyone comment on how Opticoat would work with the decals? Cheers

Straight over the top mate. But any removal and reapplication of the decals means it needs to be re-opticoated.

Has anyone else been contacted by their dealer to tell them the limited editions are now loaded in Holdens system and can now be officially ordered?

    Hey Spiderpig,
No from me unfortunately. I received this in an email from my dealer just now:

    "Hi Steve.
As yet these are unable to be ordered with Holden. They are not in our SOM system yet. Unless it changed this week.
Will confirm once this happens over the coming weeks."
I have to say, these Adelaide based dealers have been great to deal with so far.
Have you received anything in writing from you dealer in this regard?
PS: Love the profile name. But what does a Spiderpig do?;)

Thanks PSISLE. My dealer is on leave, so may be unaware that orders can now be placed. I'll contact the dealership tomorrow.
