Funny you talk about meth injection, mate has done that to his VE II Redline with ported heads, in amongst other things (cam, supercharger etc) and he is dubious about the benefits of the injection. Yes it cools the intake and allows for some advanced timing but he isnt sold on it totally. Mind you he is showing 419rwkw and 1400 odd Nm of torque on the dyno. How happy is that dyno dont know but APS guys are pretty good..... His car has over 100K on the clock now and it still drives like new.

What I was suggesting is something near 95% of your mate's corrected output NA using simply proven mods to turn the show pony into a unicorn - a daily drivable, long-lasting and efficient motorsport hero, like I imagine it could be:
• Increase BMEP by raising geometric CR and managing DCR with CVVT
• Increase octane using high pressure water injection under load
• Increase fuel flow safely with an extra injector at high CFM

I went to parts department of a Holden dealer today and saw they have a black Magnum ute in the showroom! Supposedly those had all gone.
When I had a look at their website, the Magnum does not appear. There was a Motorsport beside it, and that is on the website "price on application".
There was also a new Caprice with V8 motor for sale, but that was not on the website either.

Well, maybe not, hear them out:
It is a once in a lifetime opportunity, comes with a Guarantee. Is the lowest build number (006) avbl to Joe public, and it's related to P Brocks death in 2006 (poor form). Fck me could they have thought up an more BS?
I love it though. As long as there are muppets trying this on, it helps the others retain a reasonable value. Doesn't bother me. As I've said before I'm not a car futures trader. But, for those wanting a genuine sale, I'm all for them getting a fair price. As for buyers, if you get a new one for RRP, or used in good nick for below new RRP, you've bought a special car at the right price.

I note the Director is not a drive away price (Ex Govt charges).

Still, a better buy than a more exe BMW or Audi etc. Here's why, give it a few years and they're worthless. If you can't afford a new one, you can't afford a used one!

Doesn't car collecting history show that manual cars are always worth more then their automatic transmission equivalents?
