i had the Xperia X10 and i could not fault the phone. it copt so much punishment and the only drama i had was battery life towards the end had it close 4 years before going to the iphone 5.

not having a dig but iphones are junk. and ill stand by that claim. within my 20 of my 24 month contract i had 3 iphones. all replaced by apple on the spot because they are junk.

im sorry but if you have a phone that has 900 songs on it, and you go to upload a new ring tone to it, and it causes itunes to delete ALL your music then theres something seriously wrong with itunes and its 'user friendliness'

I should have mentioned my iPhone 5 is jail broken. I can have any song I want as my ring tone. This argument will always be the same as Holden vs Ford, Playstation vs Xbox etc
It comes down to personal preference and which phone suits the individual user.

Glad you're happy mate, I'm also a fellow S5 lover. Reason of choice was simple for me; I want storage, fast removable storage. With the S5 you can have 128Gb (I'm still on 64Gb cause I'm a tight-arse), so your phone becomes a convenient, portable, USB 3 mass storage device. Seems like every other phone forgot about expandable storage.

Totally water resistant, that's under 2 inches. Touch input won't work til it's dry though.

First thing I did was root it and put Omega's flavour of ROM (v4.4.2), so I could get rid of the bloatware and keep the good stuff. That's not everyone's cup of tea though.

App recommendations I'd have are around automation in conjunction with a HTPC but are for someone fairly technically competent.

Gmote: Make your phone a wireless remote control with access to your media lists.
Sickstache: Using your HTPC as a web server accessing an indexing service you can fully automate your media life.
Couchpotato: As above but automates your 'other' media life.
SABnzbd: Does the heavy lifting.

There's a Vuze plugin available to access the client from a web page.

I'd suggest an RDP app if you have a few devices and don't like getting off the couch when Star Trek's on. Teamviewer is pretty good and secure for external access, it's free too.

Other than that, I use aCar for cost/km tracking.

i thought by switching off imessage on my phone it would automatically redirect it to new phone. but it hasnt.

i had already switched all the options in my messages on iphone OFF.

it wasnt until hama emailed me today and told me he sent me a pic last night which i never received.

it doesnt bounce back on his end, i dont recieved **** so both parties are unaware.
